Israel and the Shekhina

Day 21 of Troops Home Fast

War in the Middle East doesn’t go away. But it could with the introduction of the Goddess into planetary politics. A lot of us know that patriarchal religious wars have been plaguing the world for thousands of years. They will continue to do so until there is a women’s spirituality movement that has the power to reorder the world.

Not only do male utopias not work to create social harmony, but they destroy the planet through their institutions of social inequality, their trillion dollar bombs, their mega-toxic wastes and pollution factories, and their oppression/suppression of women visionaries. Nationalism is a male dystopian mind parasite that blocks up global energies. It put walls between nature and people. Like nuclear weapons, nationalism needs to be abolished so that global energies can be free to save us.

Some male leaders don’t seem to learn that war is bad for the Earth. It doesn’t work to solve conflicts but it makes things worse. There is no war that is a war to end all wars because war doesn’t hold the love energy needed to transform the world into an ecofeminist planetary utopia where women regain their natural sovereignty.

Isn’t it ironic that some writers have said that founding father of Israel is Hitler? After all, it would have never been created if not for Hitler’s holocaust. My Crone mentor Phyllis told me once that Israeli soldiers are reincarnated Nazis. She is the wisest woman that I know and she happens to be Jewish from Brooklyn. Since the time of Israel’s creation, the world has been cursed. One of the first states to be abolished along with the United States should be Israel.

The Gaia Religion is an ecofeminist spirituality that has the purpose of establishing a utopian vision or what I call Neutopia, a new good place. One of its tasks is to build a Solar Jerusalem, an ecological city. So, how do we do this?

In Jewish mythology, there is an independent feminine aspect of the Deity, the Shekhina. She is both transcendent in that she overshadows the world and immanent in that she dwells in every aspect of creation. She stands up to God when he loses his compassion for humanity’s suffering, sick, poor, and when he sins against his neighbors.

According to legends, Moses wanting pure communication with the Shekhina, lived apart from his wife. This gave raise to the myth that Moses and Shekhina lived as husband and wife. The Shekhina became God’s divine Matronit, the mother and community of Israel. Moses, therefore, abandoned his wife for the promised land of Israel.

When Israel became a nation among nations it was plagued with the same fragmentation that causes tribal wars, racism, sexism and militarism around the planet. The Shekhina was lost. The sins of Israel forced the Shekhina to go into exile.

In the Hebrew Goddess, Raphael Patia, writes, “When Israel departs from God, the Matronit-Shekhina is said to depart from Her beloved, God, and go "into exile" -- when this happens, the Name (ie the Godhead) is not complete, but consists only of 'YHV'...and the whole world, but expecially Israel, suffers. Only when reunited with the Shekhina will God again be YHVH (Yahweh).

There was really no “promised land.” There was only the promised Earth that Shekhina dwells in all. Israel is not a nation-state. It was a state of planetary wholeness, Gaia, the spirit of oneness, not a piece of dirt in the Middle East.

If the Goddess Gaia (the Earth) could gain a voice and rebirth the Hebrew Goddess back into society, perhaps we can find a way to the Golden Age. The reunion of the God and Goddess is what I call the Gaia Messiah. It is the beginning of a partnership society evolving us beyond the dominator war mentality into an age of world peace and lovolution.

Our goal is to reach a consciousness of oneness—through the sacred marriage of God and Goddess-- so that we can create a global management system necessary to building ecological cities—arcology—on Earth and in Outer Space. As long as we have nationalism that divides the world into pieces, we can’t discover the peace of wholeness.

Patia writes, “The divine coupling was, and is, profoundly influenced by human behavior, or to be more exact, by the comportment of Israel. When Israel sins, these sins force the divine couple to turn away from each other; when the people repent, God and the Shekhina turn back to each other and unite in love. When a pious earthly, human husband and wife perform the great "mitzva" of marital union, the mystical power contained in and issueing from this act enables, and more than that, induces, the King and Queen on high to do the same, and thus to become restored to their pristine unity.”

The oneness they experience through the sacred union—the Gaia Messiah-- ushers in the one world mind. It is believed that the Shekhina will reappear to struggle for the salvation of the planet at the end of time. Ask yourself, does the Shekhina, the Gaia Messiah, dwell within you?

The Cafe Society

I’ve been on a starvation diet for the last two and a half weeks. Today, after helping Wayne hang his art show at the Tucson Airport, I felt like breaking the fast. We talked about it a while and I said even though I was ready for solid food, I didn’t want to break the fast because I love writing the blog and supporting the fasters in a pro-active way. Peace messages were still coming through me, and so I didn’t want to let go and join the food world again. With war raging in the Middle East, there is even greater reason to fast for peace.

So, instead to getting a meal, I decided instead to get a smoothie. But I didn’t want to go to a health food store. I wanted something bad for me. I wanted caffeine. The addiction to artificially stimulation was rearing up again. It wasn’t a physical addiction that was pulling me, but was a psychological addiction. I’m not as strong as I need to be when it comes to will power, so I gave into the superficial, pleasure-seeking desire and went for it.

Such behavior was against common sense because I knew that while fasting caffeine and alcohol were not suppose to be on my list of beverages because they dehydrate you. Forgetting about good sense, we went to a coffee shop and I ordered a Mocha Supreme or something decadent like that with soy milk. After a few sips, my head was spinning from the caffeine high.

We live in a Café society. What this means is that people go to café’s to see people, to get a sense of community (even though they might not talk to anyone while there), and to get their next fix of caffeine. The café scene is not a healthy community nor is a real community, but it feeds into the addictive society. It’s not a free society because it is a commercial society. In cafes, you can’t really be political or spiritual. You have to follow the rules of polite consumer society and pay four dollars or so for the luxury drink, set there reading the paper or your computer scene, and drink it until it is time to leave.

In the United States there is very little civic society left. Most space is commercial space. Commercial space isn’t democratic space because someone owns it and it is usually a rich person. If you offend the owner, then you get kicked out of the space.

What I love about Access Tucson Community TV is that it is civic space. Anyone can get a show and air whatever opinions they want. It is truly a free speech place. If you want to say something that might be offensive or sexual, you can do so late at night when they permit such language.

On my upcoming show, Lovolution Village, I’m going to be able to say what I want to about corporate America or what I think about the “religious” right or Emperor Bush and the war in Iraq and not get my head chopped off or get censored by commercial sponsors. Maybe, after all these years, I have found a free speech zone. Maybe on Access Tucson I am going to finally, finally find a way to self actualize!

In Studio A today, I remembered the vision of futurist Peter Russell who believes that our technology has been evolving to the point of being able to become the “Global Brain.” With the right messages, ones that lead humanity towards more enlightenment on the road to building a network of arcologies, then we are going to be able to reorder the world in a peaceful way that brings diversity in unity. Teilhard de Chardin, said "Driven by the forces of love, the fragments of the world are seeking each other, so that the world may come into being."

Why this fast has been important for me is that it has allowed me to step out of being a hard core consumer for a while. It has allowed me see the illusions of our day to day lives in bourgeois American café culture. In order to make a lovolutionary stand against the American empire, we need to be free of all its trappings.

Believing in Myself

Day 16th Troops Home Fast

I’m wondering why I feel so good after not eating anything solid for more than two weeks. But I am filled with energy. My head is clearer than ever. I feel a sense of purpose. I’m starting to think that we have been brainwashed to think that we have to eat a least three times a day. We have been brainwashed about some much of our lives. Maybe how much food we need to consume in a day is just another one of the brainwashes we were brought up believing.

My research into housing archetypes concluded that our current housing development pattern of the single family house is a brainwash. Those of us who were not brought up homeless and were raised surrounded by the "American dream" were brainwash by the very walls of the house. The single family house is a patriarchal invention that causes us to divide the world into secular and sacred space. This division has resulted in urban sprawl which has cause massive species extinction.

In the time of the reign of the Great Goddess people lived communally. Their cities were not broken up in individual nuclear families. Now we need to build an architecture that brings us back together so that we don't destroy the entire biosphere. This is what the essence of the Gaia Religion is about. It is a religion of eocfeminist thealogy, the union of spirit and ecology.

Day 17th Troops Home Fast

I got real hungry after my Access Tucson Studio Production class. I ended up getting a can of spit pea soup at the grocery store and eating it. Every bit was a prayer to the Goddess that we are going to evolve beyond war and move towards arcology.

I’m having more faith in myself lately. But it is difficult to move ahead and invest in my gifts. What I am referring to is that I have been thinking about creating a Lovolution Village T-shirt. I know that I will wear one, but will anyone else want one? So, how many should I print up? Can I sell them on my web site? Can I really make this word Lovolution come alive?

There are so many doubts that arise in my consciousness, but there is a greater consciousness that says to me, “Go ahead with your creative idea for world peace. The Bomb lurks everywhere, staring down your neck, so you better act now with your transformative vision.”

This morning I wrote the Green Party about presenting my Arcology Phoenix paper at their convention. I’ve been working on making this happen for months, but it seems as though my proposal got lost in their bureaucracy. I also called Code Pink about presenting my Sacred Arcology Workshop at their upcoming retreat. However difficult it is for me to step forward and promote myself. However, the thought of living through a nuclear holocaust or living in a polluted, global warmed world with traffic jams forces me to get my message out.

Why I am Fasting: Losing Pounds for Peace

I look like a typical America middle-aged woman. Before the fast, I was 10 pounds over weight. I hid it by wearing baggy clothes, but it was there. I carried it around with me where ever I went, eating more calories a day than most of the human population.

At times I ate luxury food like chocolate and ice cream but mostly I gained weight on a vegetarian diet. It’s the American way to be fat. Recently, the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey found that more than half of American women (50.7 percent) and six in 10 American men (59.4 percent) are overweight or seriously overweight. In another esti¬mate, nearly 100 million Americans are overweight or obese.

If you don’t believe the survey, just look around you. Everywhere you go in America you will see overweight people. Some people have gotten so fat that they hardly look human. They are so heavy that their legs can no longer support them. Unable to walk, they have to get around in wheel chairs.

Americans eat 815 billion calories of food each day, 200 billion more than they need. That is enough to feed 80 million people. A billion people don’t get enough food to support their daily activities. In the past quarter century, 250 million people have died of hunger-related causes.

Being overweight causes serious health problems such as high blood pressure, blood cholesterol abnormalities (dyslipidemia), adult onset diabetes (type 2 diabetes), heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease, arthritis of the knees and hips, sleep apnea and respiratory problems and certain types of cancer. Conditions created through being overweight contribute to 300,000 deaths a year. These deaths are preventable.

If we can make the connection between our pattern of over-consumption and war, about the immoral evil of having too much while others have too little, maybe we can find a way to redistribute the wealth so that everyone gets what they need to self-actualize. This is the quest for Neutopia.

Americans live in a sick, ugly and imbalanced culture that is on the verge of destroying the world. If you are fed up with what is happening in Iraq, can no longer live with the injustices all around you, then join the Troops Home Fast. Every pound you lose on the fast is a pound of spirit for peace.

America needs a radical lifestyle change. It needs to cut back on is consumption patterns in order to become a lean society. We can begin the first step of this transformation starting with food. America needs to fast! Losing pounds for peace is your matriotic duty. Join the fast and make a difference in your life. What is good for you is good for the planet.

Sign up at the TROOPS HOME NOW web site and be among the growing number of fasters who are putting their bodies on the line for peace. Every overweight pound you lose you will begin feeling better about yourself because you are actively being the spirit of the love and peace. You will find that your mind begins to clear from the burden of unnecessary weight. Doing more with less frees your mind. The meaning of your existence will light up in your heart. You will begin to love the world much more deeply. Fasting for peace is a religious experience of Gaia. Fill yourself with emptiness and rejoice!

I'll looking for funding to print these bumper stickers.

Also, I need a place to sell them. Got any cash and/or distributing ideas?

If so, please contact me.
