1/22/2009 Dear friends and colleagues, I been working to finished this article “The 12 th Hour for Arcology” before I left for my trip to Egypt to visit the pyramids. So below is a link to the essay which I hope you will read. The purpose of the trip is to understand the consciousness that built such great architectural structures. In Plato's Commonwealth, Socrates stated that only those versed in geometry will be allowed entrance into the ideal state. Perennial philosophers teach that through understanding the suprasensual world of forms or ideas, we can attain a higher state of consciousness. Chakrologists say that the Great pyramids are a focal point of the Third Eye or Brow Chakra. They not only open our imaginations and archetypal knowledge, but connect us to a sacred grid system of the planet Earth. At one time, it is thought that the pyramids around the world were part of a sacred global network. On our dollar bill there is an unfinished pyramid. I think it is there to prophesy what we must invest our money into in order to renew America and the world. It is time now to build a magnificent civilization, by building an arcology (ecological city) designed in the form of sacred geometry. While I am in the pyramids, I plan to meditate on the activation of a new global network, a network of solar-powered arcologies needed to save humanity from the converging catastrophes brought on by our unsustainable civilization pattern. This essay is about building a network of arcologies as a prototype for sustainable development. The essay challenges the current direction of retrofitting the old civilization with green technologies and argues that it is time for us to found a new civilization type. Arcology needs to be part of the global debate about what to do about global heating, urban sprawl, resource depletion, over population, and all the other ills caused by living in an ill conceived civilization. But to do so, I need your help to bring the movement to build arcology through public funds and awareness to the American people. I would appreciate any feedback you have, and I hope to bring back deeper insights from my trip.
